Weatherlink Information (club owned site)

In case you haven’t heard, several years ago the Soaring Club created and sanctioned a project to acquire and install a weather station on one of the buildings at the Desert Sportsman's Rifle and Pistol Club, spearheaded by our then VP, Sandy Tiedeman.
Below are instructions on how to access the weather station:
Easiest is the free Weatherlink app. Download and install Weatherlink or Davis Weatherlink app on your device (links are below). You will need to register with a username and password.

Easiest is the free Weatherlink app. Download and install Weatherlink or Davis Weatherlink app on your device (links are below). You will need to register with a username and password.
- Hit the “Check weather” button. This takes you to “Station Results”. Search for “LV Soaring Club at: Desert Sportsman Rifle Club”.
- Click the little banner to its left. You will see temperature, rainfall, wind speed and direction, and relative humidity at the gun club. This site will come up whenever you open the app. Along with “Station Results”, you will see “Location Results”. Click this, then the “Las Vegas” below, and you get a map of the Davis weather stations online in Vegas. This is handy if you want to check on a different station (maybe near your house). They all show up when you open the app.
- The other option (which works with your username and password from the app) is to go online to “weatherlink.com”. This is more a graphic presentation, with a little more information than the app. Play around with them. They are both interesting with some historical data and a forecast.
